Rogers Art Loft Application Period Open Through July 15

ROGERS ART LOFT APPLICATION PERIOD FOR THE 2022 ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCY PROGRAM IN LAS VEGAS CLOSES ON JULY 15, 2021 Calling all emerging artists - there’s still time to apply!

LAS VEGAS (June 22, 2021) – Applications are currently being accepted through July 15, 2021, for the 2022 Rogers Art Loft Artist-In-Residency program. Since launching with its inaugural roster of artists in June 2019, The Rogers Art Loft at The Lucy has successfully welcomed artists – both in-person and virtually - from a variety of disciplines including printmaking, sculpture, video and performance art, fiber arts, and collage, to share their creative insight and practice with the Las Vegas community. While the impactful artist-in-residency program pivoted to a digital format during the global pandemic, for 2022 the Rogers Art Loft’s Artist-in-Residency program will fully return to an in-person format in Las Vegas.

The premier artist-in-residency program encourages emerging artists, both national and international, to apply. Selected resident artists will have the opportunity to live and work in a first-of-its-kind creative community – The Lucy - in vibrant Downtown Las Vegas and will have access to creative workspace at the nearby Rogers Studio Gallery to present artist talks, performances, and exhibitions.

Dedicated to inclusivity, originality, and empowerment of artist, applications for the 2022 Artist-in-Residency program are now open and must be submitted by the deadline on July 15, 2021. Interested applicants can submit their Las Vegas-specific project proposal, portfolio, written statements, and biographical information online by clicking here. Notifications will be sent out in August 2021.

The brainchild of local philanthropist and patron of the arts Beverly Rogers, the Rogers Art Loft is made possible by The Rogers Foundation, dedicated to transforming lives through arts and education in Southern Nevada.

While participating in the multi-disciplinary Rogers Art Loft program, each artist will prepare and offer an introductory Artist Talk event, Community Workshop, and a Culmination Exhibition. Each artist residency opportunity is approximately four-eight weeks long, depending on artist’s needs and art practices.
