Chef Natalie Young Supports Non-Profit Core with Fried Chicken Dinner Curbside Pop Up – Friday, August 14 Help Bridge the Digital Divide - Proceeds will Purchase Chromebooks for Core Students for Upcoming Virtual School Semester

Do good by eating good! That’s what local restaurateur and long-time Core supporter Chef Natalie Young is encouraging by offering her famous Fried Chicken Dinner during a curbside pop up at her popular downtown restaurant EAT on Friday, August 14 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

With proceeds directed to the purchase of Chromebooks for Core students/scholars for the upcoming distance learning school semester, pre-orders are now available at www.chefnatalieyoung.square.site

Fried chicken dinner packages range from three to nine pieces and are available as original or gluten-free and include either corn bread or potato salad. Other available sides for purchase include mac-n-cheese, collard greens and biscuits.

“The onset of Covid-19 and resultant move to online instruction greatly exposed the digital divide that has always existed in Clark County,” said Lindsay Harper, Founder and Executive Director of Core. “We are so appreciative of Chef Nat as she helps us to do our part in bridging the gap that exists between those who have access to information and communications technology, and those who do not or have limited access. We are so excited to supply the scholars with the Chromebooks they need to stay connected and succeed in their online learning this school year. Bring on the chicken!”
