Favorite Bistro Brings French-Kissed Fare to The LINQ Promenade
A couple enjoys post-show conversation while a party table toasts pre-club cocktails…here an anniversary, there a bachelorette, dark suits, denim jeans, cocktail dresses and throughout the restaurant, a scene animated with life, laughter, and food from one City of Lights to another. Paris is for lovers; Favorite Bistro in Las Vegas is for everyone.
Introducing French fare with an American flair, Favorite Bistro will open its doors and patio at The LINQ Promenade on the Las Vegas Strip just in time for the holidays. The first U.S. location from pedigreed restaurateurs Thierry Bourdoncle and Ariane de Senneville of Group Bourdoncle, Favorite Bistro looks to liberate the presumed French dining experience from white tablecloths and replace it with lively ambiance and cuisine imported from their famed locations found in France’s favorite cities. The third-generation bistro owners and operators are behind the legendary Parisian cafés Le Hibou, Cafe Le Dome de Villiers, Le Café Mabillon and the iconic Senequier in Saint Tropez on the French Riviera.
Having created some of the best cafés and bistros in France, few know better the secret of success than Thierry Bourdoncle himself. “The Parisian café is a place where one feels comfortable, a locale to meet old friends and make new ones, where service is efficient and stylish, where you can enjoy a classic breakfast or a trendy dinner or a snack or a cocktail. We don’t need to be your favorite French restaurant; all we want is to be your favorite restaurant,” said Bourdoncle.
The idea of a French bistro favoring fun and flavorful over fancy intrigued U.S. founder Jeremy Decherchi, Executive Chef Adil Slassi (Lavo at the Palazzo, Payard Patisserie & Bistro formerly at Caesars Palace) and acclaimed Pastry Chef Claude Escamilla, (National and World Pastry Championship gold medalist who has been named among “The Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America” by Pastry Art & Design). This distinctive trio may speak with French accents, but their mission is clearly universal. “At Favorite Bistro we are asking everyone to check their Frenchception at the door,” explains Decherchi. “In France, food is social, always prepared with passion and of course, delicious. We are now combining those traditions to create a uniquely Las Vegas dining experience at the center of the famed Las Vegas Strip.”
Whether a place to plot the night’s next move or part of the plan all along, Favorite Bistro promises to be lively, fun, and tasty – a recipe that translates to a good time in any language. Guests can settle into social banquettes, bistro tables, and an essential French-famous patio dining space that sprawls along the heart of the bustling LINQ Promenade. The 2,500 square-foot restaurant interior has been custom-built from France and designed by a team from Paris with more than three generations of millwork and design experience. In this environment, diners can mingle with a French menu recalibrated for everyone’s tastes.
Favorite Bistro’s menu will feature a variety of palate-pleasing options including prime meat selections served as Surf & Turf with a choice of either lobster or shrimp and with the choice of a number of sauces including Bordelaise, Bernaise or Peppercorn. Signature braised items including Short Ribs Bourguignon, Cassoulet and Lamb Shanks can be found along with a selection of seafood options and salads and some more heartwarming, comfort food such as French onion soup, and a number of classic Burgers including the Hangover Burger served with carmalized onion, swiss cheese, bacon cheese curds and a fried egg served on a brioche bun.
